Wooden Pirate With Eye Patch

One of the most common things associated with pirates is their accent and the signature phrase ‘arrr’ but in reality they didn’t have a specific accent and many of the phrases we associate with them actually originated in the Disney film Treasure Island! Pirates did wear eye patches but not because they were missing an eye, it was actually to help their eyes adjust more quickly between the bright daylight of the upper deck and darkness of lower deck.

These wonderful figures encourage children’s curiosity and allow them to imagine different stories or recreate their favourite fairytales, stories and movies.
